dimpling on breast

About 3 months ago I had a lumpectomy that came back as begnign breast tissue with fibrocystic change(proliferative breast disease)with two small foci of atypical ductal & lobular hyperplasia, few microcalcifications, & fibroadenoma, 0.9cm.  I have been told by Oncologist that have 5 times risk factor for breast cancer.  Am on raloxifene.  Last nite I noticed some dimpling on the biopsied breast abt 1" from incision scar.  Just had a manual exam by the Oncologist and don't want to seem like a hypochondriac, but should I see him again.  He felt nothing during manual exam, but the lump that was removed was not palpable either and only detected by mammo.

Thanks, I did call my Oncologist.  The nurse is supposed to call me back and go over my questions after she pulls and looks at my chart.  Decided it is better to err in the direction of being over cautious with a diagnosed 5 times greater risk of contracting breast cancer.

Hi.
Dimpling is a sign of shortening of the suspensory ligaments of the result.  This can result from an inflammation, wound healing, or neoplasm.
You may go back to your doctor for re-evaluation, and a possible repeat mammogram.
Take care.
