mass under left areola

i am 31, diagnosed w/fibrocystic disease at 21. was posed to have mamms. every 6 mo. did that a few years, had a new baby(2 now). was never no change. so i quit worrying about it. i never could get off work at time for myself(laid off now). so i didnt think much about it.
about 2 wks ago i noticed my left breast was ithching madly on my nipple. nothing new. both have done so for years.(never reported to doc. didnt know it was unusal). but this time i had a lot of pain. and noticed a large mass under my areola. i dont know what moveable, riged and all that really means. i mean, i cant describe how it feels. in the past three or four days i have noticed an enlargment to that breast as well.  two days ago it felt as if a pressure was building under my nipple. no dischrge from it tho.
i have a lot of small lumps in both. but this one is quite big. i have no ins. do not qualify for medicaid. no companies will ins us for previous medical things.
i am just looking for some reassurance that it could b something other than cancer. i also need to know of clinics or something i can go to for exam and help. i live in  indiana.
any info would help me. this is new trying to research this and it's not easy. nothing is reassuring for me!
i want to b here for my kids, age 6 and 2. i am afraid if its cacerous as big as it feels it may b getting too late. since i cant just go to a doc when i want now.

Hi again,
Of course it could be something else! There are many benign lumps that can develop in the breasts, but no one knows what they are, unless a doctor examines us and maybe run some tests to make sure that there is nothing to worry about.I am glad that you'll make some calls tomorrow...There is nothing better than peace of mind. Good luck and God Bless.

Hi,
What I am sending you here is one of Japdip's advice given to one of the posters who was in your same position..I wish I could help you more..but I cannot add anything more than what Japdip, who is our Community leader, has advised.

If you are without insurance and funds then there are local agencies that can help with medical expenses. No Emergency Room in the country will refuse service to anyone for lack of funds. All you have to do is call your local State Agency for advice OR just go to the ER of your local hospital. Whatever the lump is in your breast does need medical attention and there is no way over the internet to venture as guess as to what it is so I suggest that you do one of the things I suggested above as soon as you can.  Regards ..
