multiple findings in one biopsy result

hi,
I am a 39 year old woman. I had a segment excision of left breast lump one month ago.biopsy result shows cystically dialated ducts with epitheleal proliferation, apocrine metaplasia and lobular hyperplasia in a fibrous stroma. The  small lump was there for almost 2 years with a pain feeling. Another lump is bieng felt just under my armpit just after my surgery. I am worried . I am taking no medicine . Surgeon told me to do ultrasound every 3 months for two years.  Am i getting close to cancer? Please answer
                                                regards

Thanks you for your reply. My surgeon told me to take second opinion from another pathological lab for her correct decision making.proliferative breast desease with adenosis.Fibrocystic areas with apocrine metaplasia and focal areas of moderate epitheleal proliferation was the biopsy result.Do you think both are same?

Do you know what is the bordeline between hyperplasia and atypical lobular hyperplasia? i read that there is some grading for tumour when it is malignant. Is there any grading for lumps which is having a biopsy result of hyperplasia without atypia in pathology?

The dilated ducts and the lobular hyperplasia and two entirely different things; neither being cancerous ! The reason for the size of the specimen that was removed was to be sure that adequate margins around the suspicious area were obtained. "Clean" margins are very important in the event the specimen is cancerous to prevent the need for an additional surgery. Only the size of the entire specimen is stated in the Pathology report whether malignant or benign. You probably are a bit overanxious .... we all are in similar circumstances; it's a natural human reaction. You could call the Surgeon's office and discuss the axillary lump (lymphnode) and they could advise you if they think it's necessary to come in earlier than your scheduled appointment.  Take care .....

Thank you for your response. I forgot to tell that the lump that is forming near the armpit  is in the opposite breast, not in the same breast that is operated.I confused about this lump,My next appointment with the surgeon is after 2 months.Should i see her immediately? And i am wondering,  different findings(both ductal and lobular) in one breast tissue area is unusual? In my biopsy result there is no mention about atypical or usual hyperplasia. Also no details about the size of the lump that is removed. The size of the lump will be mentioned only for malignant one? The cut section area size is 6cmx5cmx1.5cm.(3'o clock position, firm small lump) Why more area is cut for a small lump?
5 years back another lump ( another area of the same left breast) removal surgery done on me .The area removed was very small. The biopsy result showed fibroadenosis. Now my surgeon told that there was reccurance of lump in that area also which is  removed now. After my biopsy result,i have changed a lot .keep on worrying if i will get it not.I have 2 children..Am i overanxious ?Regards.

Not necessarily but your risk is increased somewhat. Enough certainly to follow, to the letter, the recommendation of 3 month re-checks. The enlarged lymphnode you describe could be due to the surgery and it may NOT return to it's normal size but it should be checked also at the 3 month intervals.   Regards .....
