Please ignore the paragraph below as it's an erroneous information and I sincerely apologize about that.

"pT1cN1aMx ,means that your cancer is estrogen and progesterone positive and your HERe is negative which is a good thing regarding management"

"Bluebutterfly2222" has the correct answer concerning "pT1cN1aMx"

By the way if your ER/PR status is positive, then medication such as Tamoxifen or other similar drugs will be beneficial.
Wishing you well and good luck with our treatments!

Hi,

Here is some additional explanation of your report:

The  pT1cN1aMx is information regarding the Stage of your breast cancer,  based on  findings from the pathological examination of the specimens submitted.

pT1c means your tumor larger than 1cm but not larger than 2 cm; N1a means metastasis was found in 1 to 3 axillary lymph nodes; Mx means (distant) metastasis cannot be assessed (from just these specimens). Additional evaluation with CT and PET, scans, etc., is needed to set the final currentl Stage designation..

I did not see any reference to your ER/PR hormone receptor statuses, but as zouzi indicated, being HER2 negative, as in your case,  is "better" than being HER2 positive, which is a particularly aggressive (usually Grade II) type of breast cancer. Yours is Grade II, which is only moderately aggressive--a good prognostic sign. Another  piece of good news is that your doctor obtained clear margins (a safety zone you might call it) around the tumor that was removed.

Best wishes,
bluebutterfly

Hi,
I am so sorry that you have been diagnosed with breast cancer...
I am going to try to help as much as I can with your questions, but I am not a doctor, therefore you should ask your Surgeon/Oncologist,who has all your medical record,to explain everything to you in details.
From what I gather, your report states that you have invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC)
pT1cN1aMx ,means that your cancer is estrogen and progesterone positive and your HERe is negative which is a good thing regarding management.Your cancer grade is 2 meaning that the abnormal cells activity are moderate or intermediate.
Unfortunately you have lymph nodes that are affected and in this case Chemotherapy would be recommended as well as medication such as Tamoxifen or other drug that interrupts the hormone estrogen and its connection to breast cancer.
I am sorry if I cannot be more helpful, but I am sure your doctor will take good care of you, taking in consideration also your heart problem and will plan the best specific treatment for your particular case.
With proper treatment, I am hopeful that you'll beat this dreadful disease and be well on the road for a complete recovery.
Wishing you all the best and good luck!
