Hi,
Gynecomastia (enlargement of breast tissue) in men is not uncommon and can be seen in normal, healthy boys during puberty or in men as they age. Medical conditions that interfere with the body's hormonal balance can also cause breast enlargement in men. This is occasionally associated with the use of steroids, some medications and also abuse of certain drugs (alcohol, marijuana, heroin). Resection of the excess firm breast tissue with or without liposuction is the typical treatment, although sometimes just liposuction solves the problem. The procedure usually is performed around the nipple areola and the resulting scar is almost invisible for most patients.
Best wishes..
This is caused by
Hormonal Imbalance, some men with high levels of oestrogen, a hormone that promotes glandular tissue growth.
Intake of some prescribed medication, which could have steroid properties or even cannabis
Weight gain, which could be reversed by eating properly and exercise.
There are also genetic conditions, such as the klinefelters syndrome.
Renal failure, resulting in lack of testosterone
Increased oestrogen levels are caused by liver failure, adrenal gland tumors, hyperthyroidism, obesity,
Castration
Treatment
If it is caused by weight gain, then exercise would reverse the condition
The use of medication thea influence growth of glandular tissue should be replaced with appropriate medication
If there are lumps present, then it is neccesary that a mammogram is carried out so as to detect the presence of any suspicious lumps, which could be cancerous.
For a proper diagnosis, a doctor should be seen.
Take care.
