swollen lymph node on mammogram

Hello!!  I am a 41 year old female.  I have been having mammograms since I was 35.  I had a mammogram last month and it was normal, like they have been every year, but the radiologist said that I have a swollen lymph node in my arm pit that has been there since my 2009 mammogram and it is unchanged and didn't see a reason for me to come back in but gave me the option to discuss it with my primary care doctor.  I do plan on doing so next month when I go in for my check up.  My question is should I be concerned about this?  The lymph node is, if I can remember correctly, 2.1 cent.  I can't even feel it myself and I have no pain or any symptoms whatsoever. Is it possbible that this is just the size of this particular lymph node?  I am starting to lose sleep over this the more I think about it.   Any input would greatly be appreciated!!  Thank you!

Thank you for responding and for your advice.  I just don't want to treat this too casually.

Lymph nodes can become enlarged for many reasons ... the main one being some type of infection in another part of the body. Often when they do become enlarged they never return to their normal size. I see no reason, especially since it's been there since 2009, to be overly concerned but I would discuss it in detail with your PCP when you see him/her next month.  Regards ...
