who is answering these questins?

Hello,
I am wondering who is answering these questions about breast cancer.  Are these people doctors?  I was under the impression they were.  such as zouza (sorry if I misspelled it).  If they are not professionals, then how can I be sure they are giving me the correct information?

Hi there,
In this "Breast Cancer Community Forum", we are mostly volunteer members and not doctors.Four years ago,I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I joined this wonderful Community. The reason I am trying to help it's because I was also greatly helped by many wonderful women, especially by our Community Leader "Japdip" I made a promise to myself that I was going to learn and study(mainly from Japdip)as much as I could, to help other women with breast cancer issues.I certainly don't pretend at all to have all the answers, and that's why I always advise members that the best source of information is their treating doctors.
When you posted in a different thread about being diagnosed with "Atypical cell", the advice I gave you was not any different that what your own Surgeon recommended, except that I specified why atypical cell have to be removed particularly because you have a history of breast cancer. When you asked if your surgery could wait till December I told yes it could, but I also advised you to check with your Surgeon to make sure.
If you would like to have your questions answered by medical professionals, you could post in the 'Expert Forum" by clicking on the link below where you'll find a list on the right side of the page..

Take care...

I'm not sure where you got your "impression" but the persons who answer questions are volunteers and their personal history, education, etc. is not made public unless they as individuals prefer to permit this. The
Expert Forums on the Med Help website are staffed by Physicians and have a limit of a certain number of questions per day. If you need information from a Physician I suggest that you ask your own Dr. who would know your complete medical history and therefore could answer your questions with 100% accuracy as they relate to you. I might also remind you that any information obtained over the Internet is there for you to decide whether it's correct or not for your particular situation.  Thanks .....
