I have been diagnosed with IBS, and age related diverticulosis and diverticulitis. I am hoping (as opposed to CANCER) that these conditions have become manifestly exacerbated, as my weight and appetite are'nt too bad. During a colo in December of 2009, a cluster of polyps were discovered. They were supposedly of the type that usually become malignant without surgery. Unfortunately, they wanted to force female staff on me in surgery, which, because of the sensitive nature of the surgery, I would'nt permit. I believe that my REAL right as a male disabled Vietnam combat veteran to avoid humiliation and being put on display in a SUPER weird way outweighs a female's "right" to be in the surgical theatre during very sensitive surgery such as colon and reproductive. The surgery was scheduled for April 16th, 2010, but my late older brother called me to tell me that my late younger brother was dying of leukemia at University Medical Center in Las Vegas, and I drove from Flagstaff to Las Vegas to see him the next day. So, even if I HAD been willing to submit to females in the O.R., it would'nt have been possible due to my late brother's terminal condition. I hope you understand, and that I have'nt been too verbose. It's just that my case, due to my age, my circumstances, and the fact that I am now the last survivor in my family is a little unusual. I wish that the veteran's hospitals would learn to be much more compassionate in arranging sensive surgeries for veterans! I don't want to die, but I am willing to before I will let this TERRIBLE thing happen to me! Thank you SO much for your concern.
How are you? What other symptoms are present? If there is no history of trauma or injury, the bruising could be due to blood issues and may warrant further evaluation. However, if there are specific triggers, allergic condition may also be ruled out. The pain could be due to musculoskeletal issues or from referred pain. Direct clinical examination as well as imaging studies may need to be done to determine the underlying cause. Take care and do keep us posted.
