HCG and cancer

I am thinking of doing the HCG diet, but I heard that it may cause growth of existing cancer cells. Is this true? I think some people are getting HCG mixed up with HGH.

Hey Lyndy27,
Welcome to the forum.
Why mess up with your hormonal system. This diet was originally designed for pregnancies. Actually FDA has approved for that and not weight loss.
Because of calorie restriction, it may work for some, but why take a chance.
Best is to stick with the fundamentals. Plenty of fresh vegetables, some fruits, some whole grains, no mercury fish including fatty fish
(rich in omega -3)and grass fed and pastured/free range poultry and meat. Organic where possible while drinking plenty of filtered or spring water 1H away from meals.
The more alkaline your diet, the less chance of getting cancer.
Most diseases flourish in Acidic enviroments.
So take time to check this out.
Daily low impact activities like walking, swimming, hiking, biking trampoline
etc. will help a lot.
Extra virgin Coconut Oil really helps with weight loss and provides numerous health benefits. Look it up at the coconut research website.
One the top "functional"foods!
And finally meditate daily using Pranayama deep breathing and also repeat the breathing by itself, several times daily. Visualize wellness, Health,
Ideal body and being Happy.
I practice this daily, focusing on my breathing and only the breathing for 10-15 minutes, without allowing any thoughts  come in, other than the images of well-being and bliss. It may take some time to get use to, but once you're there, it really feels good and it works!
Blessings,
Niko
