Thanks a lot for giving me advice. So sweet of u.
Caffeine can make the pain worse. They are very painful! I have to "hold" mine too when the symptoms are at their worst or wear a really tight fitting bra like a sports bra. If you are concerned with a physical abnormality after having a lump removed I would suggest talking to your doctor about surgery and ask him/her what the scarring is like and if you will be left with a slight deformity or will you look ok.
If your doctor recommended danazol and primerose oil then I think that might be a good start. You won't know the results until you try! And I know it's hard but cutting caffeine out of your diet will really help the pain A LOT. I think you should at least try the medications and primerose AND try to cut out caffeine and then see how you feel. Maybe trying these things can help you avoid having surgery! :)
I agree with u that the pain comes before periods. But pain in my breast starts when my cycle is over this month, and its till now. I have fight with this pain for last 13 days. i also holds my breast when i walk fast or when i go down on stairs, coz that time they are very painful.
I also love to sip tea. I uaually drink 4-5 tea a day. My doctor recomands me to take Danazol capsules twice a day,and Simrose (Salt: Evening Primrose oil) in a day. but there is no benefit to take all of these.
I m just scared to listen about surgery. i m unmarried and i dont want any surgery before marriage.
Yes, they can be painful. I have small ones in each breast. Never knew they were there until I had a mamogram.
If they are that painful I would recommend talking with your physician about other options, i.e. removing them.
Mine are really really painful. The pain usually correlates with my cycle and the worst pain is usually a week before my period. Have you noticed a cycle to your pain?
Mine get so bad that I can't even lift my arms. The doctor said that caffeine can make these fibroids worse but I can't give up my beloved caffeine!
I think what would be helpful is to track your symptoms with your monthly cycle. Take note of when the pain is worse, and when it is better. It helps you gain some control over the pain when you know if it's coming soon or not.
I think if they are really bothering you, you could ask your doctor to remove them but personally, I HATE having surgery and I just choose to live with them.
Thanks for the answer.
But in my case they r so painful, and i can't walk faster or run. when i run its very painful. Also while driving on a bumpy road. some times when i am in hurry i hold my left breast and then walk. Do fibroadenomas in rare cases ' when its non cancerous' are painful?
Did you see the comment from another poster? She gave an answer.
Fibroadenomas are NON-cancerous; usually they are not painful, but can be in rare cases. You can always ask you physician to biopsy them to ease you concerns.
