Pancreatic cancer or not

Last year, my father had emergency surgery to remove his gallbladder.  The dr said his made his top 10 list as being one of the worst he's seen.  During surgery is also fell apart-- did he get all of it-- who knows?  In October, he was in the hospital again with bile duct obstruction.  An ERCP brushing was performed because "something looked suspicious."  A PET scan was ordered and they told him he had Thyroid, Liver and Pancreatic Cancer and told us to call hospice-- basically a death sentence.  We insisted on a biopsy.  Thyroid and Liver tested negative but they were still insisting that he had pancreatic cancer because his CA-19 was 292!  Oh, they never wanted to do a biopsy on his pancreas.  So, he started his radiation in Dec, chemo orally, then in Feb. started his iv chemo.  Now his CA-19 is 21 and from a repeat PET scan last week, his cancer has totally disappeared.  How can that be?  Pancreatic cancer dosen't just go away?  Could that obstruction have been an infection or left over gall bladder tissue or a gall stone?  I know other factors increase  CA-19s-- not just pancreatic cancer.  You also can't tell my dad has cancer; he gained weight during his chemo (he was 202 Monday) and says he feels wonderful.  After the gall bladder surgery, he said that he has never felt that good in quite a while and then he was hit with the blow.  I hope someone can answer my question and give me some insight.  I appreciate it very much-- thank you for your time.

Maybe you need some other opinions.  You should get a copy of all his records and take them to a new doctor.  Pancreatic cancer can remiss and chemo and radition can work so if it did in his case that is awesome but I would want more answers too.
