I'm sorry that you're having bad days. I know from watching my husband that the road to recovery has its ups and downs. My husband had his cancer surgery in Mar 2007, and he gets blood-tested and CT-scanned every 3 months -- and the fear never really goes away -- you just learn to roll with the punches and appreciate the good days.
My husband hasn't had much of an opportunity to "get back to normal" at all -- the pain and sickness induced by his 'chemo' is taking every bit of the fighter in him, but we try to remind ourselves that he's lucky to be here, and count every day as a gift. Life is far from normal -- we don't think it will ever be what it used to be -- but we try to make the most of the 'normal' moments and joys, and take it one step at a time. I hope you have loved ones and friends to help support you during this time.
Best wishes,
