lump in tricept

I found a lump about a month ago and it was about the size of a large marble.....no infections, been on the same meds for a long time, no allergies. Now the lump is almost the size of a golf ball. It is located in the left arm 3" from the center of the arm pit. It tends to make my left hand get numb and my arm often hurts. My grandfather has colon cancer and my mom had breast cancer. I am 34 yrs old and have not had any trauma or infection of any type. Hate going to doctors but may be necissary at this point.   Any advice?

The lump turned out to be a very aggressive lipoma. The surgery caused some unavoidable nerve damage to the back of my arm......no feeling what so ever....but at least I can feel my hand again.

Hi.  If that lump has progressed to golf ball size in a month's time, probably the best thing to do is to see a doctor and have it biopsied, just to see if it's anything serious.
