Cat Rear-In-Face Poll!!!

Question

This is a poll on how many times a day your cat has shoved it's butt in your face in lieu of a true show of affection, or as I like to call it;

Be sure to always hold a gun by the handle, not the barrel!!!!!

The choices are:

1: Never; 

My cat is considerate of my desire NOT to view him/her from this particular angle!

2: Once a Day. 

My cat just wants to be sure I've a daily remider of the consequences of lack of affection and treats.

3: Twice a Day.

My cat is a fickle creature who enjoys spicing up my daily meals in the hopes I'll lose my appetite and give him/her my food.

4: Three Or More Times A Day. 

My cat is a stealth-butt-ninja who is determined to do covert strikes against my face, l despair of ever achieving olfactory/ aesthetic freedom!!!

Waldo will also make that noise if you are about to bump him, say he's sitting on the couch or laying on the bed and you get a little too close. He will let that sound out to let you know he is there.

As far as understanding english; only when there is food involved...or something else he may like.  If he cuddles next to me, he will sometimes rest with his butt near my face.  When that happens I give him a nudge and he seems to get the hint and curl the other way. If I am cuddling with a cat I rather see the cat's face than the other end. ;)

I know, Abby does the errmmmh too! and he does it all the time heh heh. It' adorable the sounds they can make, and all so cute. Even when he hisses it's cute.

As for Waldo, apparently he truly understands English lol

Waldo (the tabby and white cat) will rub up against you, thump his tail on you and meow like crazy. His meows sound like Ne-ow! Ne-ow! Neeeeow! ow!.  And he will look right up at you and make sure he gets eye-contact right when he meows.

It was kind of odd the timing. We were eating some turkey this weekend and grandma put it back in the pan. She said, "If anyone wants any they can ask for some."

Waldo did. He emitted kind of a ermmmh! sound. That's another one of his cute sounds. It's a cross between a meow, grunt and a purr. He uses it a lot if he wants attention.

MJ, cats are so different. While your grandma's kitty bites for attention, my cat does the butt part PLUS he gives me this unique, long, extended meow for about 5-7 seconds. He starts with Do-Re-Mi all the way to Si, then comes to Mi, then La, and so on and so forth....nonstop. It's almost scary sometimes.

For a cat to put it's butt in your face means you must have your face at cat level or the cat must be at face level.  That said if I have my face near to the ground, Waldo will be sure to rub his face, then his butt up against me..... He will do that in rapid succession if he is hungry and begging.  The other cat... He just comes up and bites a random body part to get attention.

I am a "servant" to my cat and he must feel i need to be blessed with his butt in my face all the time!!!!!  He is now playing in his water bowl and then will bless me with his wet feet AND his anus!!!!  Will i ever be in charge again??!!!  LOL

So, so far the vote puts 71% of our cats as being Butt- Ninjas who strike terror into the hearts of people.

This is the problem with butt ninja terrors, the spend all their time at the gym doing "butt-crunches"...and then feel the need to show off.

Hmm... we must think of a way to fight back.

2 out of 3 cats of my cats are "butt ninjas."

They are DSH Torties, sisters by litters about a year apart; Kestrel (8) is a blue tortie and Hildie (7) is a black tortie.

Their distant cousin, Chesapeake (6), is a British blue, much more reserved in manner, preferring to sit by your side rather than on your chest with nether quarters to nose ,-)

Kitties recognize each other by aroma, so why shouldn't we, they?

I hear ya! My cat himself needs to be a bit more well behaved. His illness got the best of me and for some reason I can't say No lol.
I like your idea.  It'd be a blast to have an Australian cat in my house. But I warn you, our cats have a way of getting away with everything, so they'll probably talk Aussies into being little devils. Wait for it...

Apparently their dogs are better behaved too! Maybe we should ship some of their dogs and cats over here to the US to teach our dogs and cats some manners! :)

Maybe it's a Nationality thing. American cats like to show butt all the time while Aussies are more mannered and well behaved :)

My 16yr old kitty shows a lot of decorum in that area!! Shes not a bum in ya face type of cat!! I have had many cats in my life and I have never heard of this before,its really hilarious!! I would just like to add that I havent owned a leg humping dog either!!

And trust me, it isn't a very good experience when I have a bloody butt in my face in the middle of the....well, all the time. It's literally, a bloody  h e l l . My 15 yr old baby-Skunkie does this 4 or more times a day.  I admit, it's not my favorite thing that she does.  BUT, when she does this I know that she's feeling pretty damn good.  SO.....Hey, I'll take it.  If she doesn't do the booty to me, then I think she's sick!!  At her age, she still plays and she's very sweet............SO, she can do whatever the H that she wants!!  LOL
