heatherlynn, lol, your Venus sounds sooo much like my cat, (or rather my daughter's cat) Sakura! I kid you not! She dashes around the house like that too. She does the craziest things. She does crack me up. I've never seen a cat like her! She also plays hide and seek. I couldn't believe it until my daughter showed me. She called the cat from across the room, got her attention then ran out of the room and Sakura dashed after her! It was so funny! She also likes to lay in the sink.
My other cat, Misha, is a little lady. However, she has her little quirks too. One that she's had ever since we got her at 2 years old is she would get into my husband's sock drawer and pull out all his black dress socks (which he'd roll up in a ball) and she'd walk around with them in her mouth meowing this mournful meow. We could never quite figure that one out. We wondered if she may have had a litter at some point before we got her and thought these socks were her kittens. I don't know but I would laugh every time my husband was looking for socks and would find them all over the house! I'd never seen anything like it.
Aren't cats funny? They all have their own unique personalities!
there are too many stories about venus too post. i do post period crazy, psychotic things she does...like this morning she for whatever reason was SUPER hyper and was running laps around the house....up and down....every room at 4 am. of course she had to include jumping on dh and i's bed on my stomach and biting me before tearing off down the hallway and back down stairs. she has started hiding between the shower liners in the bathrooms and jumping out at unsuspecting prey (guests....or mainly me) doing crazy jumps at them and taking off running again.
Our cat, Chub, runs to the door whenever my husband comes home. Then he stands on his hind legs until DH pets him. At night he licks DH's head until he falls asleep and in the morning he waits until he hears us talking and then comes in the bedroom to lick DH's head until he gets out of bed. Chub also plays Hide-N-Go-Seek. (There's a picture in my profile.) He cries like he's hurt but is really hiding. DH and I tag him and then go hide. We make the sound he does when we are ready for him to find us. Then he comes in, swats us with his paw and runs and hides again. And he really hides. As in he finds boxes, nooks, crannies, piles of clothes......anywhere where it's really hard for us to find him he hides in. lol.
