How can someone do this to a cat? Actually made me cry!

http:// www.youtube.com/ watch?v=nFq7IfYTWGw

Take out the spaces.

I just saw this on the news and I am fuming!
This woman is going to be done by the RSPCA (England Animal protection charity and animal home)

I know I am VERY hormonal anyways, BUT I have been fine the last few days untill I saw this, I just burst out into tears and wanted to find that woman and punch her! I now am scared to let my cats outside because of people like this?

How could she do something like this??

Sorry...

But this is cruel

And this as well. It all wouldnt fit on one
This is what she said as well..

Britain's public enemy number one - well, at least among cats and cat lovers - has said the public are over-reacting to the CCTV footage of her dumping a live cat in a wheelie bin. She says she did it as a joke and added: "It's only a cat".

The woman, whose actions have brought her death threats thanks to YouTube, was identified yesterday as Mary Bale, a 45-year-old bank worker living in Coventry. The cat she picked up by the scruff of its neck and dropped in the bin was a four-year-old tabby called Lola.

Lola survived her ordeal, but only after being trapped for 15 hours in the container. Her owners, Daryll and Stephanie Mann, eventually found her thanks to the CCTV camera they had installed to keep an eye on their car.

Bale told the Sun newspaper: "I really don't see what everyone is getting so excited about - it's just a cat."

She said she noticed the cat as she was walking home from work and - as the CCTV footage shows - began stroking it. "I don't know what came over me, but I suddenly thought it would be funny to put it in the wheelie bin which was right beside me.

"I did it as a joke because I thought it would be funny. I never thought it would be trapped. I expected it to wriggle free."

She admitted that she "shouldn't have done it" but did not think she deserved the hatred now coming at her down the internet and - according to some reports - from a crowd gathered outside her terraced home.

Stephanie Mann, 24, reunited with Lola, has appealed for calm and urged people not to take "matters into their own hands". She said she only posted the footage on YouTube because she wanted to find out who the mystery woman was.

"Now that the police know who she is, I think people should leave it to them and the RSPCA and not take matters into their own hands.

"Whatever she has done, I don't like her, but I don't want her to get hurt."

The police, who say Bale has not committed a criminal offence, are monitoring the situation at her home. The RSPCA are investigating.

This is the ACTUAL UPDATE:

The RSPCA has said it is considering whether to prosecute a woman who was caught on CCTV dumping a cat in a wheelie bin.

Footage of Mary Bale throwing four-year-old tabby Lola into a bin sparked outrage and made international headlines. Some animal lovers called for the woman's death on social networking site Facebook.

A spokeswoman for the animal charity said: "Mary Bale has been interviewed by an RSPCA inspector and a full file is being compiled and will be sent for review by the prosecutions department."

Ms Bale, from the Stoke area of Coventry, has said she is "profoundly sorry" for her "split second of misjudgment".

In a statement to the media, the 45-year-old bank worker said: "I want to take this opportunity to apologise profusely for the upset and distress that my actions have caused. I cannot explain why I did this, it is completely out of character and I certainly did not intend to cause any distress to Lola or her owners."

Police said they are "closely monitoring" any online threats against her.

Hundreds of people posted angry messages on Facebook because of the clip showing Lola being thrown into the green rubbish bin, which was uploaded by the cat's owners.

A spokeswoman for the social networking site said a group entitled Death to Mary Bale had been removed for contravening Facebook's terms of use. West Midlands Police said some of the group's content was "inflammatory and offensive".

Lola's owners, Stephanie and Darryl Mann, from Bray's Lane in Coventry, said they were "stunned" by the reaction to the footage, taken from security cameras outside their home.

The cat was trapped in the bin for 15 hours but it emerged unscathed.

I found a stray puppy the other day about 2 months old... Walking the streets.. took it to my house my cats didnt like it... so I walked her around it wasnt anyones puppy. but this bloke said if I cant find the owner in an hr, he'd take the puppy... So he has the puppy now. And he keeps me informed of everything, I wish I could keep her. I dont think I have enough animals.

Like I sad I am hoping to have my own resuce centre :) Which will help,. so many people are dumpin animals on the streets... or in bins, but that was someones cat... outside its own house!! Argh The amount of turtles that get dumped in rivers and ponds. OMGOSH! LOADS EVERYDAY! makes me sick how people could do this. what have they done wrong? It' like a farmer in the US I think (Not too sure) shot a crocodile just because it ate a chicken. I am not too sure if they are getting done?

Erm you know the turtles out of Nemo? Because of the oil spill they are dying... So a rescue team have gone out and collected all the unhatched eggs and moving them to some other sea/ocean. I know this is about cats. But Animals out there well... But there are wonderful peoples like us lot that are trying to help them :)

We should get a medal!! I'll make one and post it to everyone!

Sorry if the Video upset anyone btw

I was afraid to watch the video too, but I know all too well that animals are abused every day. I hate it. I
hate the puppy mills out there, wish they'd all be shut down! I was just talking to a lady who just adopted a poodle from the pound and she thinks he was used for stud service and that was it. He didn't know how to play. She thinks he was kept in a kennel the whole time. She said the lady at the pound said they get females in there from the puppy mills who were put out on the streets when they're 4 or 5 years old and past bredding time. It's just heartbreaking. I wish there was more I could do.

Growing up, everyone knew my mom had a soft heart for animals and someone called her from the horse stables they visited all the time. They were concerned because there was a stray cat (no more than 6 months old) who seemed to live there or close by and kids were throwing rocks at her and swinging her around by her tail. This lady called my mom and asked if she could take the cat and find it a home. We did find it a home - ours. We took her in and put her in a room by herself for awhile, away from everyone and our other animals. She was terrified. We would go in that room, one at a time, and talk to her softly and attempt to pet her. It took awhile for her to warm up to us but she did. After awhile we were able to let her out of the room to join the family. She wound up being a very sweet cat who loved to bury herself under our blankets and sleep next to us, purring away.
She still would run and hide when people came to the door but was very sweet and affectionate with us, her family.

I only wish I could save them all. :(

But it was just a random woman who walked up and put a kitty in the bin. She will get arrested I think. But the cat was stuck for 15 hours!!!!!!!

Fair dos' as a joke I put my cat in the wash bin but then within 5 mins its out again anyways cause they use it as a toy cause its springyy. But we are joking around. And it can get out because the laundry basket has a springy thing, like a childs play tunnel, And if they didnt get in the basket them selves then I wouldnt do it.

As you all know I have a zoo which even though we have a baby coming randomly keeps growing... the OH will come in at like 12am with a snake or a lizard, saying look what I brought!! NOT FUNNY. And by next May/June time I hope to have my own animal resuce centre in my house. Like turtles and things, and cats and what not. And if someone would like to adopt an animal from us, A house check will need to take place before we could let the animal go with them. This is what happend to me when purchasing my tortoise.

I love my animals so much, and my gosh if anyone hurt my animals I would go off my head. My big ginger cat FC (Pics on profile) he doesnt leave the back garden and if he does then... he isnt gone for long. The furthest he has gone is 3 houses away. Anyways it was a really hot summer day and people obv having BBQ's and things, and my FC accidently got locked in a garage (over night), and my sister found him meowing., when she came to get me. Went to get himm he was curled up asleep and refused to move!! But the persons who's garage it was, he was very apologetic. But it wasnt his fault. He didnt know, Bless him...

But the the police AND the RSPCA are looking for that woman and my goodness is she in trouble! if it was my cat, i'd find her and beat her!

That is so horrible!  I can't imagine going through that.  Yes, those who torture small animals do go on to humans.  You're oldest has been through the wars.  God bless you both.

Charlie has never harmed an animal.  He didn't hurt the cat and would never harm one.  He has his own animals now.  And spoils the heck out of them.

Know the mindset unfortunately.  One day I arrived home with a carload of children, ages 7 - 15 to find the dead body of a stray  who had adopted us .  My eldest jumped out of car, and told me to 'go go...don't let the boys see this.  I will bury Felix'.

The ex acted like nothing had happened.  When I confronted him finally, he said 'Well I told you I'd kill that d***** cat if he got in once more'.  We were housesitting a two story wooden home out in the country: it had porch screens a bear could have climbed through!! LOL.

In March this ex  killed my son, Brooks.  My eldest once again tried and, this time, with three bullets in his leg and feet couldn't protect his brother from evil.

People like this don't change.  Just read post: haven't looked at pics.  I have known several over the years.  It starts with animals, and almost always progresses to humans.

Not quite on the same level but when my oldest was 2, his favorite movie was one called The Magic Paintbrush.  In it the evil king threw the hero in the dungeon.  So Charlie decides to play evil king and the kitty, a very laid back cat name Hobo, was thrown in the dungeon, otherwise known as the laundry hamper.  When I found Hobo, he was quite happily wrapping himself up in the dirty clothes.  After that I had to keep the hamper top closed because Hobo had found a new favorite place.    Side note:  The hamper was well vented and Hobo could get out anytime he wanted to.

I'll be honest and tell you I was afraid to look.  Saw your post a while ago, but didn't want to see anything terrible.  I could tell from Pip's post it wouldn't be too gruesome.

Just disgusting.  Poor kitty was so friendly - my husband and I were both watching the video.  What a horrible woman!  Thank God owners found her in time.  I hope she is recognized and arrested!

Wow, Pip.  How did you ever forgive him?...or not think less of him?  I had a male friend who I'd known since the 1st grade.  He was my boyfriend from 6th to 10th grade.  I adored him with all my heart.  When we were in our late 20's, he shares with me that his kitty just died and he threw her in the trash.  I never ever felt quite the same about him.  I still adored him, just not with All my heart...

My brother did this to Tuna Cat (in my kitty album) and her sibs back in July 1978...

They all escaped and Tuna Cat was a member of my parents' household until 1994...much to his chagrin.

I would not have minded much if he had had to pay a fine for such behavior.

Keep the Fire!
