Healthy Teia =)

Brought Missy T in for her annual yesterday (which was a follow up to bringing her in after Hildiekatt passed on in June).  Physical exam showed no big areas of concern, just a little tarter on her molars on one side (Doc Bennet cleaned the other side last time) and her weight being down a few ounces from last time.

Check of blood, pee and poop showed no big concerns either.  She is at the high normal end for thyroid, so Doc B wants to recheck Teia's level in 6 months.

Teia is now eating about 95% wet food to the occasional nibble on kibble.  She did not even know how to eat wet food when we first took her in to our lives.

She has also taken over Hildie's spot on the landing at the head of the stairs, sleeps on Hildikatt's thick brown towel.  Have even found the catnip toy moving around the upper hallway.

Alternate location is on the big scratch pad in the breakfast nook.

Have posted a picture to my album of Missy T in her new HQ, which was Hildie's spot.

Of everything we have in the house: sisal wrapped scratching posts, a sisal scratching pad that hangs from a door knob, a carpeted hanging pad, curved sisal lounger, curved cardboard lounger and flat cardboard pads...Teia has a favorite.  It is a thick, flat cardboard pad that is 18" x 9".

hi Pip,

Good news for sure. It sure is nice when we can breath a sigh of relief for at least a few months......until the next check up. They seem to always have surprises for us, eh?

Tell me Pip...I notice Lady T surrounded by her favorite scratchers , which one does she prefer?/ I have just bought that S shape carpet covered one on the right. Never thought Meez would take to it, but she loves that thing --sits on it like it's her desk for answering fan mail, then uses it as a means of travel across the kitchen floor a Kitty Cab, and scratches at it every minute she walks by, then uses it for trapping her mice under it. It is amazing the many uses this one thing gets. It is almost worn out and in need of replacing.

Oh if we only new what goes on in those little head/big brain of theirs.
All the best to Lady T
