I have talked about Stardust before.  She is such a lady, but she has some strange habits.  One of them is that whenever someone comes into the house she has to greet them much like a dog would.  She runs up to them and rubs against them.  Then she will wait for that person to sit down and stretch out into that person's lap.  I have never had a cat that has done this before and I find it very odd that she would love everyone.
She will remember if someone has been over before and greet them.  If she hears a familiar voice she will start yelling in the direction of the door.  She has no fear of people, not even a little bit.  This is why sometimes I wish I knew anything about her past.  I know nothing since she is a rescue.  
I have always had cats that were at least a little shy when it came to people, but she shows no fear of them.

What a wonderful animal.  I bet she brightens up your day!  It sounds as if her previous home was one in which she was encouraged to socialise, and she is carrying this behaviour over to her new home.
Just warn the visitors (some people are afraid of or allergic to cats) and sit back & watch the antics.

She sounds like a delightful cat.  I once had a cat who liked to lounge by the front walkway and escort people to the door.  He'd talk to them the whole way.  Really amused our guests.
