This sounds very similar to the behavior my old cat Cammi showed when she had suffered a stroke, just before she had a second one, which did greater damage; she was 21 years 4 months.
We got her to the vet as soon as possible after the first one, luckily the same day. He had an enzyme therepy, which was helping her regain movement and flexibility, but then, that 2nd one hit after another week.
She was dignified to the end, though. . .but, you do need to get kitten to a vet. There is likely a head injury from what you describe.
If you can not afford a regular vet, see if your local humane society has a clinic, they usually can work out better payments.
