Cats and toys- wierd behaviors

Does anyone else have a cat that likes to leave thier toys in the food bowl?  Lucy leaves her toys there and REALLY irritates the boys.  It doesn't matter what the toy is - piece of paper, mice, anything.  She's even left a couple in the water bowl.  That's an interesting concept-  I guess it was dirty.  But if she wouldn't take the toys outside to play with, they wouldn't get so yucky.

I found her playing with a mouse outside- eww  so I blocked the kitty door.  She was NOT going to get into the house with that thing.  When I went back out- I discovered it was the carcass of one of her toy mice.  She pulls out the plastic piece in the middle and flings around the fuzzy outside- including the tail.  At least it wasn't a live baby rabbit- Ugh- 3 of them in 1 night screaming in the living room to get away.   Have you ever tried to get a baby bunny out from under the couch with 3 cats trying to "help"?  It's not a pretty sight.  Especially at 11pm, and 1 and 3 in the morning.

She loves to take her toys outside, but she does bring them back in.  There is a little bit of sand for her to play in, but they like to think it's a giant kitty box- ewww.

I will find random toys in the yard and the next time I see it, it's in the food bowl or somewhere in the house.  She's nuts, but a lot of fun.

Just an idea:does your cat has a place with sand or soil to play on? A plant pot at least?
Maybe he/she is just lacking a better place to hide the toys...
Mine doesnt like  very much  human made toys and disappeared with a plastic lobster completly, not even a trace can be found (l have a backyard). Was it not big I would be afraid she swallowed it!

I often wondered if Annie was trying to give her baby a drink ... or maybe she was washing her prey before eating it? Cats have such a lively fantasy life.  One theory is that floating objects help the cat accurately see the surface of their drinking water, saving them from dunking their face. Annie appreciates ice cubes in her water dish and she'll push them around and play with them.

Ha ha ! Its funny - except for the bunny situation, for sure.
Cats are crazy... Too much mysteries for  any poor human brain to enderstand!
Loreena is a catcher, but  the  grasshoper she intended giving to me was not dead and went away... Rewarded her for that : no eating "junk food".Don't know about the previous one, a moth
She never throws things inside the water bowl, the opposite , I saw her trying to take off a tiny dirty that had fallen there.
Once i put a small portion of feed there(ration) and she proved be smart, trying to drink the water to reach it
