I found a lump on the right side of my kitty neck he is only 11 mths old he is eating and drinking and playing alot and seems fine , do you think this is serious or should I not worry!!

Hi, I agree 100% with CML and Melinda.  Anytime you find something that doesn't "belong" on the cat, it needs to be checked out by a vet.

Hi M,

If the lump is under the chin on the neck it could be a swollen lymph node.

Does your kit have a little cold? Could be an infection . Best to check with you vet as Melinda has advised.

Hello.

  Lumps on a cat can be non-serious (benign) and some can be quite serious.

  I think it best to take your kitty to a veterinarian to find out which is the case for him/ her.

  An online site that may be helpful is peteducation.com. For example, you'll learn to never squeeze a lump.

  I hope all goes well with your furry friend.  I bet it's a cutie!
