Headaches after surgery...

I had my surgery in May, a Posterior Fossa Craniectormy with removal of the Arch of C1 and Duraplasty with patch graft.  I started getting headaches back.  Their not as strong as they were before surgery but are a dailyl occurance.  Anyone having the same issue?
Thanks, Cathy

I had my surgery February and noticed that my frontal headaches and pressure headaches were immediately gone but as I got to moving more the HA became a permanent fixture again at around 2 mo.  Long story short I have a ruptured c5c6 disc with 2 herniated above and below.  If your really concerned go back to your doctor or find another one which is what I did.  If I hadnt pushed to have more tests they wouldnt have found it. Good luck and I hope that it is just recovery ha's.

Hey hun, I had pfd with laminectomy in aug and I too have headaches daily. Different then b4 surgery. I have only had a few debilitating ones. But I have pressure in my head daily. Worse with movement. Goin for mri and csf flow study on 25 to see whats going on. Hope we can help each other out as we figure the issue out.

Hi Cathy...it is only 5 months, I would have to ask what ur daily activities r...how active r u....

And to let u know it is normal to have some symptoms return as u heal...it is the nerves, some starting to work after being compressed and they sometimes misfire...over shoot...so it takes time for it all to calm down.

Unless it is worse than B4 surgery or different...or like linnie said positional...then u should see ur Dr.

R u still on meds?...when did u taper off if u stopped them?

I remember having headaches after surgery, but I also had a CSF leak.  Is it  only when you get up, or do you have it while standing.  There is a difference.  Just keep an eye on it, and please just take it easy.  If you have a headache try laying down, I put a heating pad on the back of my neck for 15 minutes and that seems to help.  Keep us up dated
