Laminaplasty Operation

I will be having a Laminaplasty Operation by Dr. Heffez in Nov. Has anyone had this done? If so can you tell me what to expect...Staples, time in hospital, pain amount, time in surgery....ect... thanks for any info you can give.

  Thanks.....The other reason I was concerned was they also talked about a fusion for me and doing it at the same time...too much all at once, plus it was a yr b4 my DD's wedding and I wanted to be sure I was ok for that.....

My operation is Nov 28th. We needed time to save up the travel money. I will be happy to let you know what is involved.

  Hi Tina...sorry I haven't had it yet, bit this is something I do need.....so I look forward to u giving us updates so I have an better idea what all is involved.

I have had cervical stinosis since my mid 20's....and it was noted on my MRI's...the problem I have is I also have bulging disks in that same area causing a CSF obstruction....the disks shifted post op from my PFD.....so, I have to act like I haven't had my PFD yet as I can move my neck wrong and have drop attacks...thankfully that has not happened...but, I am careful with what I do.

  I want to wish u luck...what is ur surgery date so we can keep u in our thoughts and prayers?(add to our surgery date thread)
