I have to giggle when I read about our hair and your right, none of us are happy with what we have.  I had an example to go by though because my Aunt never could grow any hair and she would run her hands through my hair when I was growing up and say. " I hope you appreciate what you have, because I can't have any".  So I am grateful for my hair.  I also have to say my dad passed with no grey at the age of 71 so I'm hoping I take after him.  Ladies let your hair fly and let it lay where it may.  It shows you do still go at 100 LOL....Have a beautiful hair freeze day LOL.....
Linda :)  sending smiles your way.

LOL...I guess when it comes to hair we all want what we don't have!!!
@ Selma - I am cracking up over the 'my hair stays where the wind blows it' comment!! Too funny, because the day I cut my hair my sister in law was with me and we stopped and did some shopping and it was HOT in the store (okay maybe it was just me) and I was sweating and my hair was drenched and I kept running my hands through it. Well my sister in law looks at me and says 'ur hair looks like u were just in a convertible at 100 miles an hour'! Lol I guess cause OT was short and wet it was like straight back...just made me laugh to hear u say that because I can only imagine that's what I looked like!!!!
After 35 years I guess I've come to accept my straight thin hair! I just wish it wouldn't damage so easily because it is very difficult to grow it long when the ends are always breaking and splitting!

Exactly it has to be long to weight it down...I would love to have hair that flies in the breeze and falls back in place, but it is not meant to be even with all the curlers and hot irons around, I can not hold my arms up long enuff to do it....lol...in High school some of the kids called me Phyllis Diller cuz that is what my hair would look like on rainy and humid days,....ugh

I never used straighter's, my sister did, she had real curls tho, if mine were curls that would have been fine...but nooooooooo no curls and I have a heck of a time getting curls...mine i s a wavy frizzy mess...lol...

Im another frizz head!  I used to sleep with my hair in orange juice cans, ironed it--with a real iron!, & used chemical straighteners in h.s.
(fortunately that was followed by hippie days & the natural look, and I learned to love my hair if I kept long.  The weight kept it more subdued.)

well my hair is that thick half curly fizzy type and it would take me  over an hour to straighten it and then it would not last....so enjoy ur thin straight hair, I always envied those with it....the wind blows and it falls back into place ...mine stays where the wind lifted it to....up in the air...lol...

Being younger I am sure that is helping u as well....so glad u were able to do the walk....

Thanks Viv...definitely a new me...I have been suffering with headaches since Elementary school (I'm 35) so to me it was just the norm to have a headache.
@ Selma - my hair does require a flat iron to get to the do u see. However my hair is naturally flat it just naturally has a mind of its own and doesn't exactly lay flat like I like it. But for me it easy...literally 5 minutes with a flat iron and VOILA...I've always hated my straight thin hair but I'm starting to realize that being curly would have limited my hair cut abilities post surgery! About the walk...it kicked my butt...but I did it and for that I am grateful! We were the last ones to finish (a lot of people didn't do it all) but hey I finished, and to me that's what matters!

Cute new do....wish I could do that with mine it takes too much flat iron to try to make it look nice and ne moisture in the air and in 2 seconds it is frizzy neway....so too much work...lol...

I am always amazed at those that do physical things post op.....I am so happy u r able to do this with no ill side effects....some of us can and some of us can not....Lucky for u... : )
