I definitely know what yall are feeling, of course I'm finally experiencing it again, but I missed it so much. I have depression, and sports was always my way of getting that little endorphin high and feeling better. But now I'm back, full time, not getting ANY headaches. :D I'm so sore, but I'm so happy that I am lucky enough to have this feeling. I love feeling the pain now of working out and my body going "what the heck are you doing" cause its been so long since I've worked out.
BUT IT IS POSSIBLE GUYS. DONT GIVE UP.
Stay strong and do as much as your body allows.
I worked through it, i mean a week after surgery I was at a Jazz Band concert PLAYING. and I started school in lik a month from surgery. now I'm starting sports in 2 months of surgery. (:
Praying for my Chiari family.

TOTALLY agree on the running. Miss the "endorphin high" so much.
Glad to see I'm not the only one that wants to cry when seeing people running. And you have faith too. :D
I hear you...I was a runner and I loved it...
Everytime I see someone running on the side of the road..it brings tears to my eyes..
But, I still have hope I will be there again one day or find something else that I enjoy just as much :)
I know -gosh - I was watching someone jog on tv and I thought to myself - I bet that feels soooo good. You never know what you miss untill you can't do it anymore. :(
Thank you so much for posting this! I am a full-time personal trainer and have been unable to do more that steady walking for the past year. This past weekend, even the walking has started causing headaches. I was afraid I would never be able to lift weights or work out hard again, but now reading you going to football practice has given me reason to beleive I too will be back to exercising after surgery.
Never giving up.!
I've gone swimming a lot and worked out a lot recently,
and haven't gotten much headaches.
Got like a 6 hour football camp two days of next week...
Well see.!!! (:
I'm enjoying my life until something else decides to go wrong...
I'm waiting to be told if I'm narcaleptic...
Which would ruin my swimming, and i juss got my permit today,,,so buhbyee driving too....
PRAYING.!!!!
~Alliee
p.s. never letting anyything in my wayy.!!!! Always positiveee.!!!
Good to hear this, stay positive.....

Glad to hear that you are doing ok!! Do keep an eye on those headaches b/c that was a classic sign for me b4 my Chiari progressed...headaches after exercise. You are doing the right things...exercising and being young! Good for you :)

Allie,
I am so glad u were able to go this far pain free !!!
That shows that we can do some physical things after surgery(well some of us can...lol)
And I am so happy that u r enjoying this time in ur life like u should and that u r willing to stop if it causes u pain.
Have fun and stay safe : )
