wierd thing happend last night

dont know if anyone will be able to help but something really strange happend last night. While i was in bed i noticed that my arms and legs occassionally twitched, didnt take much notice thought it was my body starting to relax before going to sleep. After i had been asleep for a while i suddenly woke up my whole body was twitching/jerking and this is what had woken me up. I am not epileptic and this has never happend before. Today my whole body aches and my back is killing.Has anyone got any ideas???????

Carolyn, I get that as well but it is usually my significant other kicking me lol....

My significant other has exactly what you describe Carolyn, she sometimes also grinds her teeth when she is sleeping, she is a type one diabetic (Insulin-dependent) and I know that this is one of the causes of Peripheral Neuropathy witch is associated with motor & sensory changes. I have many of the signs & symptoms of Peripheral Neuropathy according to my NS, I wonder if  Peripheral Neuropathy is another CM thing, I know it is linked to many CNS diseases.

Yea..definitely something to mention to your dr..

I will wake out of a dead sleep just from one big jerk like someone has kicked me in the stomach...I am pretty sure that it is my diaphragm spasming. I also wake up from my jaw snapping shut by itself.. I haven't had anything continue past that point though, just will happen once, enough to wake me up.

I have a lot of muscle twitching and spasming constantly going on while awake and I think it's my body trying to relax..
