It has been a while

I want to say Hi To everyone and I hope that you all are doing well. Or as well as you can.

I continue to have up and down episodes. Tonight I am completely miserable! Even thought I have full motion I feel like i have pulled every muscle from the base of my skull to my middle back. Pain, burning, spasms in my arms, cant get comfortable.

Does anyone experience this. This part is fairly new to me. Also feeling like a Mac truck slammed into the back of my head and neck. Never had that before. Only in the last couple months.

My headaches continue and I try my best to manage that pain but this is ridiculous. I don't know what to do.. I have done hot and cold, tried to relax, everything I can think of. If there is anything else I can do please let me know. My patience level is really low right now. The way people talk or even mannerisms irritate the heck out of me right now. My poor family is keeping their distance and that feels horrible.

Sorry this turned into more of a rant. I am so thankful for this site and all of you.

Hope you have a good night. I will be up again :(

No surgery yet. Still trying to convince Drs that Chiari is causing all of this.

The irritability has been an issue for years.I can go from fine to complete rage as well. I have to take a walk or go in another room when that happens. Drs have tried various antidepressants but none have helped. It really starts with frustration and stress due to everything and no one taking me serious. It is also hard for my family to understand so many days I feel bad I try not to let anyone know. I get tired of saying I hurt.

Just day by day right now. Loosing my job and insurance does not help. Always seems to work out.

Just wish my body wouldn't hurt so much everyday. I feel older at an alarming rate of speed. lol

Compression of the brain stem could be the issue...have they looked at the odontoid?

No Selma they haven't.

I don't know if you can tell by my pictures on here if I should bring it up to my dr when I go in next.

Hoping it will be in Sept. That is when I am done with the 6 month preexisting that is on my new insurance.

I just really want something to happen. Dr seems so set on my issues not being caused by Chiari. She has tried to rule out so much but she wont give it a try and attempt to rule out Chiari.

I truly believe she wont look into it because if I do get the diagnosis she wont know what to do. Working on getting a referral to a little better dr.

Thanks, Jen

Well if it is the odontoid it would not be the chiari causing the symptoms.....U need a lot better Dr...keep pushing for one once u can ins wise.....but do not settle for just a dr...u need one that is well informed and  experienced in order to do better .
