Hi, you should find a neurosurgeon and show your MRIs/CTs, they are the only Drs. really specialized in this type of issues and will be able to tell if it explains your symptoms and if something can be done. Sending you courage!
Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.
I must first ask a few questions.....when did you notice your symptoms , have you had any injury or blunt force to the head, neck area?
Were you tested for any other related/co-morbid condition?
Could the statement Mild Inferior Ectopia of the Cerebral tonsils indicate Chiari- yes. but it could also indicate acquired Chiari or low lying tonsils....the symptoms and treatment tend to be the same so we are splitting hairs.
But knowing which it is can help.
Also, was your MRI of a year ago done at the same location? Can they be compared?
Some radiologists see Chiari or herniated tonsils as an expected with time and age as gravity will pull them down....and they do not include in their reports....
And Chiari is not well known in the medical community, as far as DX and treatment and what we as a person with Chiari deal with with symptoms.....
I would say educate yourself on all things Chiari, and co-morbid conditions and research Drs.
If you help with this, we are here and willing to help.
Know you are not alone <3
