Hi, I know how u feel, I had the same issues but never had a dx until my DD was grown and in grad school....it is hard, to send ur child into the store to get groceries so u can just sit in the car....I do know.
It was also diff when she was small to hold her, lift her etc....but u can tell her , lets play a game u crawl up on mom's lap so u do not have to bend down it does help....and the older one can help by picking things up that r dropped and easy for them to handle....
Cleaning the house perfectly is not going to help u , as we all know that knocks us down, so do light house work and spend more time with the kids...
It all is a matter of the age of the children and what u can do....when mine was learning to read, I would have to give her the book to read to me to give my eyes a rest, but I never told her that, just said ok, ur turn...lol...
She also helped with cleaning and things like that, again at an appropriate age....but it is something to look at what they can do and what u can just let go for now.
Thank you for the warm words of encouragement. I decided to do a lockdown potty training day to feel okay about not leaving the house. At least she'll get something out of it! Thanks again.
She also likes movies, so we can lay around if I feel EXTREMELY bad, and watch Disney movies together. Cuddling on the couch or bed. Just try to find something that is still quality time that you can do with them that doesn't involve you running around so you feel worse. Take it easy and just try to remember that when you were little you loved laying around cuddling with your mom too. Don't feel like a failure <3. Chin up :)
I am a single parent of a toddler myself. I know how you feel! I have those days a lot. Usually when I have them I decide to take my daughter outside to play in the sandbox, whereas she is content and mommy can sit around with her lack of energy, sunglasses, and headache without feeling like she is failing at parenting. Also, the park as well. Because she runs around super happy to be there laughing and playing which makes me smile.. even if I am just sitting on the bench watching like a fuddy duddy
