I know just how u feel....it can be frustrating to not be able to do what we want or to feel we r letting others down.
Were u able to find our list of activities to avoid in the Health Pages? If not let me know and I will get the link for u.
I try not to stress out.
No I don't have a Chiari Specialist.
I did not know about a list of activities to avoid?
I was told rest rest and stay inside. Don't get to excited.
My son is 12 and my daughter is 8. She is always asking me if I'm hurting and wishes I felt better so I can play with her like I used to.
That is why I get frustrated.
Stress can add to triggering symptoms....
Is this a Chiari specialist?
Did u see the list of activities to avoid with Chiari?
How old r u kids?...when my DD was younger she had issues with my balance or lack there of as well....we got thru it and u will too, They understand more then we give them credit for,

I have been avoiding activities beause Im always falling over or falling down. Its embarassing my kids are always asking why do fall down everyday why can't you talk right today. Its frustrating.
Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.
U said u were dx'd with Chiari, have they ruled out related issues, and were u ruled out as a surgical candidate?
Once u r dx'd more testing should be done to see how the condition is affecting ur overall health. A CINE MRI, a thoracic and lumbar MRI, u want to know do u have a CSF obstruction, a syrinx, disk issues, tethered cord, ICP, POTS, ehlers-danlos...sleep apnea, and go from there.
Research Chiari specialists to find the right Dr for u, having that Dr that is well experienced is key.
Since 2010 what treatment have u had , PT, meds...etc?
Have u had a MRI since?
Do u avoid certain activities since getting the dx?
