Having a few issues post op

I'm almost 6 weeks post op and last Thursday my incision became very tender, red and inflamed. When I woke up on Friday there was some clear fluid draining from an area of it. I called neuros office and the nurse had me take a picture of it and send it to her. She called me back and said to go to my primary. He said possible infection and gave me antibiotics. I wasn't too sure if it truly was infection because the fluid was clear. But the drainage stopped and I have no visible lump, just some puffiness and it's still very tender.

I have also had an increase of ha, mostly positional and if I have to bend, along with ear fullness and pulsing type of noises. They tend to increase in intensity as soon as I lay down but it also happens upright to. I have my check on September 8 and I'll know more then but I'm just confused as to what could be going on. Normal healing? Just thought I would see if anyone could give me a heads up.

Thank u!

Try to rest and keep hydrated,,,not sure if you are experiencing the dog days of summer heat right now....but it may be too much for you....so stay indoors in AC

And if need be go to the ER.

Wishing you all the best

I would call your Dr and ask to be seen b4 your appointment.....

Never apologize for asking about things like this...If it were not for the pressure headaches and the raised red areas...I might think it was ok to wait....but with these issues I would call and ask to be seen.

Well the redness mostly went away but it's back again and causing some pain. There are 2 or 3 bumps that are raised and painful. This is the same area that the fluid came from last week. It also hurts underneath these spots, kinda inside the incision., if that makes sense..

And  I'm having these headaches that are pressure land pulsing like, more so on the top of my head and forehead, I don't know if one has any thing to do with he other it's a little frustrating because I was feeling a bit better and now I feel as though I took 2 steps back. Sorry for complaining, but I don't know if I should be concerned or just wait and see.

Thank u again

Hi...not sure if you would call it "normal" healing...but I too had clear liquid that would drain...up until 9 months post op....I used a topical antibiotic ointment ....no infections....but it was not fun to deal with.....bcuz of the f=draining I wore a hat to keep the area cleaner ......

As long as it is not inflamed and causing pain...it should be ok.....I also had intermittent drainage or what I called oozing....it was not a constant flow....
