My neck, shoulder, and hand hurt, but I don't know if they are Chiari/Syringomlyelia related or related to the wreck I had a few years ago.

Maybe a little from column "A" and a little from column "B:? :)

HI Alicia,

I usually feel bad for 2 days prior to the rain and then feel great while it is raining....so I don't get to enjoy the beautiful sunny days that come b4 a storm, but I can enjoy the storm...lol....

DDD and stinosis from what I understand is a normal aging process, but those with chiari tend to get the affects much earlier.

I never knew stinosis was a part of chiari because I have been suffering with that really bad since I had my first child and that was 17 years ago. I have about the same problems with my spine as katarina333. I have problems when it rains as well i get dizzy,  pressure in my head and ears and vision problems.  I can always tell when its gonna rain. And I hate the way I feel when it does!

Many with Chiari also do have DDD issues as well as stinosis of the spine so there is a connection for sure.

Yes, HA's get worse with impending rain.....voice cracks and sounds raspy.....vision gets a tad more blurred.....

when you say rain affects you, do you mean that your symptoms get worse? I have been telling my doctor that the symptoms I have been complaining about get worse when it rains and during my period. I sent you a message about my CT and forgot to tell you that I also reviewed my MRI of my back and wondered if there is any connection/more symptoms of chiara if you also suffer from nerve and disc damage/and compression of the thecal sac at the S1, L3-4 and L4-5 level along with dessication and degeneration of those discs...? I have been dealing with this also.

Yes  I have noticed all those things, but then I have raynauds, so I am much more sensitive to the cold  or any extreme. for that matter.
