I GOT A DIAGNOSIS!!!!!!!!!

I called my neurologist who was no help at all. He refused to see me and told me to go to the Mayo Clinic.  So I called the radiologist at the hospital and talked to him.  I told him what was going on and what I suspected.  He looked at my films and said "yah I can see what you are talking about and how it is a little lower than it should be."  I told him "from what I have read even people with at 2-3mm herniation can have a lot of symptoms and I have a lot of symptoms that are ruining my life."  He agreed to re-evaluate and measure the herniation and type an addendum to my report.  WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

I recently have been going through a similar situation
Mri reads mildly low cer, tonsils
Another Mri of my neck reads probable small syrinx c5-6
I have an appointment at the chiari institute ny in november
in the meantime i wish you well I truly understand when you say your symptoms are ruining your life I am experiencing the same and sometimes trying to explain to the doctors these vague come and go symptoms while my brain feels foggy is very very frustrating
It sounds crazy but I sometimes hope they do find a chiari so i can get to the bottom of it and hopefully one day have a normal life again

Way-to-go, Mr. Radiologist!!  Wow, I am impressed, because many radiologist do not understand that 2-3mm can cause symptoms!

Yes, find a real Chiari specialist.  The Chiariconnectioninternational website has a list of doctors.  But, if you have Chiari Zero, you will need to see someone who is familiar with diagnosing it. Otherwise, they will tell you that you don't have Chiari...it's all in your head....it's just migraines...or fibro....or cf....yahda, yahda, yahda, etc.

DO not go to Mayo ? I repeat do not go to Mayo clinic , they trun away people with Chiari . There are other experts al over the US . where do you live ?? TRY EMAILING ME              remmel50   (THE AT SIGN) netins.net
