I saw one once that had a thumb drive that popped out and you can download all your med history on it. Cool idea...unless you lose it....or until the EMT cant access it....or a freak thing like all computer systems go down.
List it all...maybe go for that egyptian braclet look-the one that wraps around your entire arm. Should be room enough for all of our med alerts on that type. LOL!!!

DH had a boss with double hip replacements years ago. He swore by those belts and bed magnets. I remember being sick with brochitis(sp?) constantly as a kid, my aunt had a square shaped one she use to put on my chest....no idea why, or if it did anything. Let me know if you find anything out....very curious.

Yrs ago magnets were sold as belts for the back, waist and wrists..etc..to help with pain even pads to put in ur bed ...my mom got them for her fibro..they did not help her...but who knows  if they were strong enuff??

But it is not a new idea, and like I said I had a few  myself yrs ago...and I will dig them out and do some research....

Thanks Selma! I dont know that Im into wearing them all over, like she does. Not much into jewelry, but dont mind a braclet, or a necklace...just not at once-so I guess it wont give me the overall best experience. But I do like the idea of have real jewelry (stones) for the med id braclet. And I do love her designs.  Her husband wears his for HA, and hasnt had any since he started wearing. But he wears it 24/7. I've never worn mine consistantly, so cant fairly decided if its a help or not....of course, we dont have normal HAs anyway.

Hi...I do not know of ne reason other then if u were to have a shunt that the magnets would hinder u in ne way......

All of our blood  and skin cells are made up of electrons and protons and are electrically charged and y magnets are considered a useful tool.

I have had a few  bracelets but never saw a real difference....but, I also never had them placed all over like u have to keep the flow moving...so, who knows....

hey everyone, Rylanesmom and I were PM back and forth about this the other day. I have a jeweler friend that is going to be designing some braclets for me once I order the Id part. I love her jewelry, but I do have a concern with it. Hoping you guys have some info and can help. She uses real stones and just traveled to Tucson to the gem and mineral show to get some new ones. They were beautiful. Then she showed my the colored magnatic beads that she picked up. Sooo cute!!  And this is where we had the question. She makes the magnatic braclet to promote blood flow in the arm to shoulder region. The necklace has to be an exact measurement, and promotes blood flow for the neck and thorac region. And the anklet to promote the flow from hip to toes. I have a beautiful necklace that she made and gifted me with when we first were discussing my migraine type headaches-before CM Dx. I am now wondering if this type of magnetic therepy is a pro or con for chiari. If anyone knows the answers, I would be very grateful as I do not want her to continue to make items that would hinder me already yucky health.

Me and a friend of mine were just discussing this a few days ago. She wants to get me one, and wanted to know what to put on it. I told her to wait till I see the NS and NL before she orders it, so I can make sure that it has all of the correct info. I am glad to see this thread, thanks for all of the info.
