Info to share with kids

Has anyone come across any books or other material that would be good to share with my kids (ages 7 and 4) to help explain Chiari, Chiari surgery, or even just brain surgery in general?

That had crossed my mind, and I know from experience with students with Autism that kids do love those personal books.  Your kids are lucky that you've made so many for them.  I guess I should get busy and make one for my own kiddos :)

if you are at all computer savy you can create your own book.  How old are your children?  My are 3 and 5.  i make books for them all the time.  I just use microsoft word and I cut and paste photos, write simple sentences, then i laminate them and my mother in law (a teacher)  brings them to school and does the hole punch and puts on the plastic holder thing.  Can't remember what it's called.  It makes it more personal for them.  Let me know if you need help.  Okay, I just looked at your profile.  This would be great for a seven and four yr old and since your a teacher you can put it together at school.
