Hey I am just looking for more information on CM. I am a 21 year old man.. I am curntly in Iraq. I just found out that my mom is awaiting results to tell here if she has CM.. I am just looking for any kind of Info I can get..
Hi Steven, This is Aunt Lorraine (lor124) Thank you for finding us this site! There are so many wonderful people here with so much info!!!! I was diagnosed with CM1 and I knew your mom was having similar symptoms as well. I'm glad she went to get her MRI like I suggested. You have 2 more uncles that may have it as well. I have only heard of one other family with multiple members with this disease. I hope they don't because this is living hell.

Selma, my name is Sandra (rosebud3), Then you for addressing my son's (Steveo0621) concerns with gentleness and sensitivity. I read the poem that you told my son about. It was enlightening and so very true on so many levels. I still do not have my results from my recent MRI. I have a Drs. appt tomorrow if he doesn't call me before then. Wish me luck.

Hi Steveo.....chiari is described as a herniation of the cerebral tonsils protruding down onto the spine...the drs will usually do an MRI of the brain and inform u of the lenght of herniation.....mine is 6mm.....everyone is different as to the symptoms they have.To understand this better there is a poem in my journal...if u click on my name it'll take u to my profile page...u will see the post. U will also understand by reading the posts here of others some have had surgery, some have not.
