Just an update :)

Well my NL requested I see an ENT since he can't figure out why I am still having dizziness and balance issues over a year after hitting my head. He's been trying to focus on anything but the Chiari.

I found a ENT that is an Neurotologist, and yesterday they did VEMP (Vestibular Evoked Myogenic Potential) and VNG/ENG (Videonystagmography/Electronystagmography) testing. Well they found out my left ear is doing 30% less than my right ear for balance. I had hit my head on a steel beam at work on the left side, so he is thinking the trauma may have caused it. So now I have another medicine to see if we can at least get my ears processing correctly.

I have my thoracic and lumbar MRIs scheduled for next week.

Dawn :)

Yes this NL is definitely not a chiari specialists, I have to go to him because of the workman's comp case, otherwise I would find a different NL.

I found a NS that is a chiari specialist, Dr Trumble, he's the one who wants me to get the MRIs. Although he didn't ask me to get a CINE MRI done. I'll have to ask him about it at my next appt. I had forgotten at the initial appointment.

This memory thing really drives me nuts, since before hitting my head I had a terrific memory. Now I'll do something and then can't remember if I completed it or not. It's hard for my co-workers and supervisors to understand as they are stuck on the fact that I only hit my head, even when I explain Chiari to them.
