Legs giving out??

I have Chiari, but also a bunch of other things going on... Within the last 2 weeks my right leg just seem to "go out" .. I fell a few times .. other times just kind of tripped and used the power of my left leg to prevent a fall.  I can't really explain because it is so sudden and quick, but I guess its almost like my right leg just gives up on me momentarily for a few seconds... Has anyone else experienced this?  I don't know if it is due to the Chiari..the POTS.. EDS..??  but something weird is going on... I see the neurologist Thursday - maybe they will have a clue as to whats causing this...

Hmmm so it seems to be Chiari related? I assume.. I have heard about drop attacks (scary and thankfully I have not got these .. well atleast yet)... but it is the weirdest thing..like all of the sudden my right leg gives out or almost gives out.. I was guessing it was from the Chiari, but I also have a herniated disc L4-L5 on the right side which is pressing on my sacral nerve and (DDD).. I'm not sure if that can cause this? UGHH well I will definitely let you guys know what the neuro says tomorrow..

  Hi...we have had a few members that had this happen.....and most had less occurrence post op.

I had drop attacks which are different....and it is interesting to note which other related conditions others may have as Annie listed above to see if there is a common thread??

I have this, too. Much less frequent since decompression, thank goodness! I hope the NL can offer an explanation; I've never really gotten one. I have scoliosis, Chiari, a syrinx, and possible EDS.
