Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum,
May I ask, do you have Chiari as well?...Or just Syringomyelia?
I had a very long MRI as well...close to 3 hrs but just shy of the full 3....and I was fine....a bit stiff when I came out...
Some had had to use some sort of relaxant....as they have anxiety in small places....I just close my eyes and pretend the sound id due to road work....lol...I near fell asleep....lol...as I said it doesn't bother me to be inside....I do wonder tho what they may find,,,
I do have the Chiari also. I was referrred to a NS. Saw that doctor but he only spent about 10 minutes with me. Referred me to a colleague in his office. Told me they wanted to do the new MRI to see if the syrinx has moved farther down my spine and also wants to rule out a tumor.
Are these Drs Chiari specialists? It is important and a reg NS is not always the best choice....you want a Dr well informed on Chiari and ALL related conditions as well experienced with it as well.....
