My arm does that all the time and can last much longer than 20 minutes...so don't worry. I understand...everything about Chiari can be scary...b/c no one really knows a lot about it!
I do find that with me it may be impaired circulation b/c it seems to have a lot to do with a position I'm in..once I notice it's cold and I shift it around it will eventually warm up.

Hi....I have to agree with Ray, I get alot of numbness and tingling...I would think after ur next set of MRI's u will know if u have DDD , Bulging disks or stinosis which can also play into these symptoms....I have all of them, but chiari is the biggest player of the group.
As for how long it lasted, mine can last a few days....and I agree with Ray, mention this to ur dr it being a new symptom....u want to keep a list of all symptoms as it indicates if the and how fast the chiari is progressing.
I find this coldness to be especially a bother if in a draft from a fan or AC...if u can keep a throw to cover with it helps keep the cold from over taking ur whole body.

Numbness and tingling is consistent with CM, I have permanent numbness in both of my hands and feet, I dont know if it is due to the CM or Syrinx witch is in the Cervical/Thoracic junction. The cold feeling sounds like a circulation problem however I am not a doctor and would advise you to speak with your GP if it continues or if you are still concerned about it. I find that resting my elbow on something for a period of time can make the tingling worse witch is eased by movement.
