Did they do an ultrasound guided needle biopsy? I am so sorry they had to do that to you. When I had my needle biopsy done for my thyroid cancer it was ultarsound guided and there were at least 3 people in the room with me making sure I was comfortable and that the procedure was being done properly. It was an uncomfortable procedure but I can only imagine having your neck hanging off the end of the table would make it much worse. I really didnt feel any discomfort after mine that ibuprofen didnt take care of. I have spoken to others that had quite different experiences. I think sometimes with some procedures unfortunately, it depends on where you go and who performs the procedure they can be done slightly different. I truly wish you the best. I did have to have a thyroidectomy performed in 2007, if you have any other questions, feel free to ask. Colleen
Oh I am so sorry, did u tell them about ur chiari? They should have supported ur head for u to help with that, I understand they needed u in a certain position, but they should have also understood how that was not possible for u.
I would do heat not ice as heat helps relax the muscles, ice is for inflammation...ur muscles r tight from holding ur head in that position.
