Hi,,.Chiari symptoms do cycle so they come and go and can be worse when stressed...not that I am saying he does have it, but I am saying it is so tempting to to dismiss it for reasons that may be shouting it is it....as I said Chiari symptoms will come and go....
Since Chiari is congenital, many of us do not realize how many symptoms we really have since they are something we always had and we consider them to be normal....
Get copies of ALL testing and reports and get other opinions too to make sure Chiari and all related conditions are ruled out.
Hi, and thank you both for your comments. The MRI was done because he imagined he had multiple sclerosis because his grandpa had it. He spent 9 months sitting at home waiting to be accepted into the career of his choice. When he doesn't have anything to do he thinks too much and convinced himself he was going to die. The symptoms he has though have only been there for 7 weeks. They started after the MRI. Since I have posted, he has come to realise that he only have the symptoms when he is nervous or stressed. All the drs have always said its anxiety. He hopes it isn't the chiari because if it is it won't go away. It has lessened a great deal, & its because he is starting to cope better in his job. Up until the 9 months spent at home, he had hardly ever been to the dr as he was always healthy and never had any chiari symptoms. Thank you Sue
Hi and welcome to the Chiari forum.,
It is highly possible that he does have symptoms but does not consider them symptoms bcuz he has always experienced them....so to him, they are "normal".....
Inner ear issues can be Chiari related....so the leg issue can be Chiari and a symptom.
May I ask y the MRI was done?
