Is it uncommon to have two different measurements of the tonsils?

I was reading through the results of my MRI and it had the right side at 9mm and the left at 4mm.  Is this normal or should they be the same?  I have felt the pain from the headaches to be more to the right side of the back of the head but now am wondering if I am just overthinking it.

Also, I have had tingling and the pins/needles feeling in my hands and feet but now that I think about it, it seems like it has been only on the left side.  Does the right side affect the left or would it have any effect on it?

I am waiting to see a Neurologist as the doctor I had seen before I was not completely pleased with her approach and working with me.  I don't go until May 3rd so I think I just have too much time on my hands in between to try to analyze everything.

Thank you Selma.  That makes sense.  I wasn't sure since it seems like a lot of times you only see one measurement.

Thanks!

Hi, no this is not uncommon at all, mine were 2 diff measurements as well, one was a 4 mm and the other 6 mm.

We r not symmetrical beings and if u were to measure things on the left and compare it to the right u will always see a difference...Drs generally only show the larger of the 2 on reports so we take for granted that both are the same.
