I went back to work 27 days after surgery.  But I didn't fly until 16 months after surgery.

Traveling was never a consideration for me.

My surgery date is April 20th with Dr Rosner.... I hope all goes well for you.  I  think alot depends on the type of job you have and how well you take care of yourself in the beginning.  I personally am afraid of being one of the ones who over does it.  I do that now with every burst of energy I get and feel like crap afterwards.  Good luck and I know you will be in great hands.  Please keep us posted.  You will be in my prayers.

Congratulations on a surgery date!!!...Please have someone post updates here on ur progress : )

We do have several members that have been to Dr H for surgery, I am sure some1 will post  an answer .....in the meantime take a look at journals many of us do have our surgical experience posted in them.....just click on our name and it takes u to the profile page.....

As for how long u r off work depends on u and how u recover...we r all different.....I am still not working or driving.....and will be 2 yrs post op in May....I do have other issues as well.....if u heal slowly like I do or have other things going on it may take some time.

AS for complete healing of the nerves it can take 2 yrs...but go slow and listen to ur body....do not rush, especially right after surgery there is a false sense of feeling great, I am not sure if it is the meds or not, but many feel like they can conquer nething and wind up feeling worse for doing so.

Good luck to u
