Anyone keep the bone from surgery?

Did anyone get the part of your skull that was removed during surgery?  I would like to keep mine.  Hubby suggested I turn it into a bracelet and my friend suggested a christmas ornament.

I am thinking of having it carved by a professional artists into a pendant so I can wear it like a necklace.

Yeah, I'd like to have had mine - I would have had it carved into a wolf necklace - like a Native American inspired choker.

A few people on ASAP have said that too.  One person said she was able to keep her's.  I guess it can't hurt to ask.  I know some other said they asked, but were told the bone would be in little peiced so there wasn't really anything to keep.

According to my Neurosurgeon, you aren't allowed to keep the bone.

I am getting a syntehtic patch, but I forget what it's made of...I will see if  can find out the name!

Hi....well this is an intersting topic....I never thought of.....I'll keep this in mind when /if I ever get the surgery.
question to u....do u know what kind of patch ur NS will be using?...I know there r diif types anad it depends on the dr.....
