Chiropractor question

Would the Gonstead method be okay? My NS said that I should see a chiropractor.. so I went to one today.. he did xrays and said my skull was misaligned (the base of it) with my spine. So he adjusted that (broke my neck whichever you want to call it). I've never been to a chiropractor before so it was a shocking experience having my skull snapped. He also adjusted something in my neck and my lower back. He said my skull misalignment had caused my lower back to curve to my left.. but I feel weird now. My face Burns.. my lower jaw (like a cold burn.. think of IcyCold). And my eye keeps twitching

I'm defiantly no expert in this. I am just starting to get diagnosed with Chiari. I know that no two people are the same but I have been seeing a chiropractor about every 10 days since I was 12 and I'm 37 now.
My head does sit at an angle because I have deformed C1 and C2. Chiropractic has helped me more than any other doctor through the years and a chiropractor is who has pointed me in the right direction to get diagnosed.
Best wishes with your decisions.

Yeah I learned my lesson. My neck is really disliking me right now and I have been having more problems swallowing than what I normally do. It takes me like 2-3 times to swallow my own spit. And my left foot has been getting pins and needles.. I have an appt with Dr. Oro September 24. (Hoping I can come up with the money to travel to Colorado from GA by then) I'm just kinda worried I don't have Chiari now and I have something else. I uploaded my MRIs for you.. I have 2 that say I have a 7mm herniation and the two my NS ordered after that have said my brain is normal and no herniated tonsils are there.. So I don't want to pay to go all the way to Colorado and look like a Moron because it isn't even what is wrong with me and I don't have Chiari. If someone could look at them and. I'd appreciate it let me know if they think I do or not :(

The problem is he does not recognize ur chiari so he does not see going to a Chiro as an issue...I know it is not always easy to find a NS that is a chiari specialist or one that works within ur ins, but u have to keep looking and pushing for answers.

No more Chiros....

Well I tried to get the NS I was seeing to address it but he said it was normal.. when you can tell by my xrays it isn't normal.. Yet he told me to go to a chiropractor. I have felt terrible after going too.. I thought I'd feel better but yeah that didn't work as planned.

Once u r dx'd with Chiari u should NEVER have ur neck adjusted like that....
this is very dangerous as it can compress the herniated tonsils in that space of ur neck....please do not have this done again.

Wait until u get to a Chiari specialist to address the misalignment of ur neck.
