The thing is no med helps the pains we have b4 surgery as it is a neurological type of pain....but after surgery it should no longer be neuro pain but pain from surgery so it should help.

Not everyone gets sick post op...I did bcuz I had a reaction to the morphine, but once the meds were changed I was fine....

Focus on things going well....u have to go in with a positive attitude...and things will go well.

((hugs))

They talked about paracetamol that doesn't even help my head now so I'm worried Selma. Really lfreaking about the pain and management. I'm first on the most to go down. Should take between. 5-7 hours. They also soda to expect to very sick which is awful as it is.

Hi I posted a prayer thread for u and huskerfan as u both have surgery tomorrow....

As for what type of pain meds, I was given moprphine and valium, and there were a few other meds as well....to help prevent blood clots, etc...

I did have an issue with the morphine so it was changed to dilaudid for me and that worked much better and I didn't get sick from it....

My Drs were great in using pain meds to keep me from having pain....as I am sure urs will too.
