A CINE MRI is one that shows actual flow in real time, a movie of CSF flow...instead of still pics taken with a reg MRI....this way they can detect is ur CSF pulsates with ur BP.
It is a tool most Chiari Drs use to see if there is an obstruction that may change in a short time frame and possibly missed with the still shots.
What is a CINE MRI? I'm guessing he hasn't had one yet?
Hi,,,,well 2.2 cent. is a large herniation in one so small to begin with....u said there was CSF flow, so not sure how that is handled...did he have a CINE MRI?
The Dr u r going to is well known for treating Chiari so it sounds like he is in good hands....
All I can offer is well wishes it goes well with the visit.
