Tylenol is an analgesic. While it is classified as an NSAID, it has no anti-inflammatory properties. It should not make tinnitus worse. I've been on NSAIDs; therapeutic dose for 2+ yrs and it's not affected my tinnitus at all, that I can tell.
The TSH test most drs do can be normal, even with thyroid probs like Hashimotos. Hashimotos is a common comorbid of Chiari and Ankylosing Spondylitis(my autoimmune arthritis disease). I'll be having my dr run a full thyroid panel to test for Hashimotos.
With our poor compressed, smushed brains, it would make sense that our pituitary can be affected too.
I also run a fan at night to help drown out the pressure whooshing sounds in my ears and the tinnitus. If it's really bad, I fall asleep watching TV.
THANKS,I'LL RIGHT THIS DOWN AND HAVE THEM CHECK IT .
Well, a TSH test can come back normal...but u can still have a thyroid issue...an auto immune thyroid issue will not show with just testing the TSH.
I was told mine was normal too, but for other reasons had a ultra sound done of my carotid artery which showed nodules on my thyroid...and lead to my dr doing the other testing, and it did show a thyroid condition.
I even had a ENDO and he refused to look at this closer...it is like chiari in that there r not too many drs that treat and test this correctly.

THEY DONE A THYROID TEST AND SAID IT WAS NORMAL,I ONLY TAKE THE TYLENOL 3'S ABOUT TWICE A WEEK IF THAT,THEY DONT HELP MUCH ,SO I JUST TAKEM WHEN I FEEL A MIGRAINE COMIN ON. SO I DONT THINK ITS THE MEDS. I HAVE SLACKED DOWN ON THE MOUNTAIN DEW THINKING IT MIGHT BE THE CAFFENINE,BUT THAT AINT HELPED EITHER :{
Oh and BTW, thyroid issues can cause ringing in the ears too!!
Tylenol is a NSAID and is contributing to ur ear issue.
Yeah, I call the non stop white noise a buzzing...but get the ringing too...and I can aways tell when I took some meds as it gets louder.....
Do check to make sure this is not thyroid causing the premature menopause , if only bcuz there r so many of us with this issue....I found out way too late.

MY MOM WENT THROUGH IT YOUNG TOO,SHE HAD ME WHEN SHE WAS 39 AND THEN NEVER HAD ANOTHER PERIOD!
I DON'T TAKE ANYTHING EXCEPT TYLENOL 3 WHEN I HAVE TO,EVERYTIME I WOULD TAKE A NEW MEDICINE IT WOULD MAKE ME SICKER,SO I'VE LEARNED TO DEAL WITH THE PAIN,A NEURO SURGEON IN HUNTINGTON TOLD ME,IF YOU HAVE THESE EVERYDAY AND DON'T TAKE ANYTHING FOR THEM YOUR BODY GETS USED TO THE PAIN AND LEARNS HOW TO IGNORE IT,AND FOR THE MOST PART HE WAS RIGHT,I CANT IGNORE IT BUT I CAN DEAL WITH IT,BUT THE MIGRAINE DAYS I JUST STAY IN BED,LUCKILY WHEN I HAVE THE MIGRAINES THEY HURT SO BAD I SLEEP.,I AM GONNA HAVE TO START LEAVIN SOMETHING ON AT NIGHT TOO,IT'S GETTING REALLY LOUD IN MY HEAD {THE HUMMIN,KINDA SOUNDS LIKE A SEVERE WEATHER WARNING ON TV,MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM,ONLY IT NEVER STOPS!
U young to be going thru menopause.....have u had ur thyroid tested?
I went thru early as well...and a all natural supplement helped get me thru.
I also have the ringing in the ears.....do u take NSAIDS...they along with other meds can add to the buzzing and ringing...no fun I know....I keep a TV or radio on as I fall asleep just so I do not notice that awful sound.
