Help needed with Chiari Malformation Drop Attacks?

I have Chiari Malformation, with neurosurgery in 2011, and for most of my life I have sudden drop attacks.
I collapse to the ground, without losing consciousness. I lose sensation in my arms and legs completely and suddenly, but it is gained back the moment after I hit the floor. I experience dizziness often, but it seems the sudden drop attack type of collapsing has nothing to do with feeling dizzy.

It happens when I look up at the sky, and also randomly when standing or walking (more frequently when standing for any extended period of time, or upon standing- even when I am careful and stand slowly) It feels like my CSF flow just stops and starts. Sometimes I think I can literally feel it flowing up and down my spine, it is very unpleasant.

I also have been diagnosed with POTS. I see a chiari malformation specialist which is helpful but I am not sure how to handle this symptoms of CM. Any advice would be appreciated, especially if you personally experience this symptom.
Thank you- Michelle.

Hi...I am wondering if your Drop attacks are from your POTS and not Chiari. The reason I say this is bcuz surgery is done to restore CSF flow, once that happens there should be no more drop attacks caused by a stoppage of CSF flow. Unless your surgical area formed scar tissue which is creating a new obstruction?? Have you asked your Dr about these attacks?

I use to get them, but they stopped with my surgery I have not had once since.
